Construction of new 70-bed behavioral hospital remains on schedule

Georgia’s newest behavioral hospital is on schedule to be completed in December, 2016 and open in January. The demolition of the older sections of the former Clearview Regional Medical Center is completed, and the new building exterior is being constructed on the remaining parts of the hospital. The last phase of construction is to build out the interiors for the 70-bed hospital. Part of the project scope includes new mechanical and electrical systems and the latest in energy preservation and efficiency. The renovated 76,000 square foot hospital will offer a safe and secure environment with semi-private patient rooms, outpatient program space, patient activity areas, a full commercial kitchen with a large dining area for patients and staff, indoor exercise room, and outdoor courtyards. The hospital is expected to begin accepting patients in early January, 2017.
